Margene K. Walz and Rosalinda J. Rea are the co-founders and counselors of Quest College Counseling in Los Alamitos, CA. Quest College Counseling provides athletic and academic counseling services for all high school student-athletes. Their goal is to help student-athletes find the “best fit” colleges and universities where they can maximize the college experience and graduate in 4-years while continuing to play their sport!

In addition, Quest College Counseling conducts tailored searches for both academic and merit aid as well as athletic scholarships. Current student clients are participating in football, baseball, volleyball, cross-country and track and come from various California high schools in the cities of Long Beach, Los Alamitos and Garden Grove.

Certified college counselors through the UCLA “Counseling the College-Bound Student” program, Margene and Rosalinda are also active members of numerous national counseling organizations, including the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC) and the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA). They have also completed the certification program for the Independent Educational Consultant Associations (IECA) Symposium for Independent Educational Counselors held annually in Washington, D.C. Rosalinda attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton and Margene the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.

Margene and Rosalinda’s approach is to work directly with the parents and the student in the college search and application process and the mission of Quest College Counseling is “To help students make informed decisions about their educational goals in pursuit of lifelong learning”.
